A Great Disappointment

hey everyone,
so there's been a pretty big change of plans. I got sent home from YWAM Boston on Tuesday. It just really wasn't a good fit for me. Please be praying as I seek God for wisdom of what to do in the meantime and if He wants me to go to a DTS as soon as March or as distant as September.
It's been tough. I'll keep you updated.

In Him,
Camila

  1. Camila: I'm so sorry to hear this, but know that if it wasn't a good fit, it's best to look for the right one.

  2. Wow, Camila...bless your heart. This must be really, really hard right now...but I know the Lord has good things in store for you, and He will work this together for good. I'll be praying for you, dear godsister, and looking forward to seeing what our Father does. This is no surprise to Him. :)

    Love you,
    Kiersti

This was comforting to me when I was facing college/future-related uncertainty: Prov. 16:9

  3. God knows whats best...He's got everything in control. He won't ever let you go, and he won't ever forsake you. Even if it seems rough and your plans aren't working out the way you wanted. Don't worry he has you in mind and he won't ever forget his promises to you!

  4. Hi, Camila.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out. But you know that when God closes a door, he opens a window. I'm sure that's not much consolation, but you know He'll show you where He wants you.

  5. Oh, Camila! Are you in AZ? Want to get together and talk about it? May God minister to you in this hard place and bring peace to your heart.
    Love and hugs,
    Jana

  6. Dear Camila,

In a way I am sorry that this particular time with YWAM has not worked out...but on the other hand lots of times trying something, even failing, leads to testing and growth. I wonder if trees like it during a drought when the rings are tight and compact...are they stronger for it?

I recommend the book "Do Hard Things" by Alex and Brett Harris who are 19 year old twins, I just finished it and think they would speak to you in it.

I have been praying for you daily and will continue. Write or call if you want to.

Look at Isa 50:10 Which of you follows his God? The one who walks in dark places with no light, yet leans on his God. (New English Bible)- my paraphrase
